Cancellation Policy

At White Ivy Hair Studio, we understand how chaotic life can be at times. For this reason, we encourage you to book your appointments in advance, especially if there is a specific time, day or stylist that you require.

We will always do our best to accommodate your needs should you need to reschedule your appointment; however, cancellations can cause a significant loss of business (especially if we turn away clients that may have wanted the time you had booked). Therefore, we ask that if you need to reschedule, you do so two salon business days before your appointment.

Due to repeated cancellations, reschedules and no shows, we have been forced to implement the following deposit/booking fee and cancellation policy:

  • We require a $50.00 deposit/booking fee for all services, except where the price is below $50 where we will require upfront payment when the booking is made. This will come off your service provided you don’t cancel or reschedule within 48 hours of your appointment.
  • The first cancellation within 48 hours of appointment will result in your deposit/booking fee being forfeited, and another booking fee will be required to make any future appointments.
  • A second last-minute cancellations or no show will result in you forfeiting $50.00 non-refundable deposit/booking fee as well as an additional $50.00 cancellation fee which will need to be paid in full before future bookings can be made.
  • Further cancellations/no-shows to appointments will require us to take payment in full for the whole service to make any future appointments. Again, should you cancel/reschedule within 48 hours of the appointment the payment will be forfeited.
  • We ask that you cancel any appointments via phone on 95450921 to make sure the message is received. If this is not an option for you or it is during our closed hours, please email us at info@whiteivystudio.com.

Please understand that this policy has been introduced because of significant loss of business caused by appointments being cancelled or rescheduled at late notice. As a small business we can’t cover the cost of this entirely and even if we receive the cancellation fee we are still at a loss due to the appointment time being allocated to you and not available for other guests.

Please also note that although we send a reminder text to help you keep track of appointments, this message is sent 48 hours before your appointment and cancelling after the message is received will still incur a cancellation fee as it is within the time frame. We ask that you be mindful when you book your appointments of any conflicting arrangements and that you keep track of your own appointment.

If you are after a colour correction or transformation, pre-assessment of your hair is a must! Ideally we would love you to come in to the studio for a free consultation so we can not only see but also touch your hair. This will allow us to determine exactly which techniques and processes will be necessary to achieve your goal. If this is inconvenient for you, you are most welcome to complete our Online Consultation form HERE.

Colour Corrections

All Colour Corrective work at White Ivy is pre planned in detail. A Colour Correction may require one or multiple sittings. There is no ‘one size fits all’ process, meaning there is also NO GUARANTEED OUTCOME. For example- If your hair was box dyed black yesterday- we cannot promise that you will be leaving with platinum after your colour correction, but what we can promise you is that we will get it as close as possible- in as short of a timeframe as possible, and also offer you a predictive timeline of how we will safely get there together. Your Journey is our journey and we want you to have the hair of your dreams!

The initial Colour Correction sitting is often long (even up to 9 hours) and tedious. Multiple processing techniques are often used in the one sitting to achieve the best possible results. During any major colour correction, our utmost concern is always the integrity of your hair. We do not give unrealistic expectations and there is often a followup appointment within 3 weeks. If you do not follow the prescribed maintenance at home or attend your followup appointments however, your hair may require further work and we may need to create a new plan for you.

When having a colour correction done at White Ivy, you should not only budget for the processing on the day but also which products you will need to follow on with at home, and also for followup toning appointments and further lightening to achieve your end goal. Please make sure you have factored in all of these expenses as if you get half way through the corrective process and decide to put a dark colour over the top rather than coming in for a further sitting- you will then be in an even worse position than where you started and we may not be able to assist you.

If the cost you have been quoted is not within your budget, please consider growing your coloured hair out some more and using the correct care products at home so that when you do choose to proceed, your hair is in its best condition and ready to be worked on.

Home Care

Caring for your hair at home is just as important as regular maintenance in a salon. At White Ivy Hair Studio we have a range of the best home care products available for purchase, allowing you to achieve optimum hair care with ease at home. Your stylist will be able to recommend the best products from our extensive range to maintain your colour, style, or treatment.

If you have any specific questions or concerns, please let us know and we can suggest a solution suited to you. Some of the treatments we offer in salon, in particular colour corrections, will require specific home care. This is part of the service we offer to you as professional hairdressers. If you choose not to follow the home care prescribed to you, unfortunately we cannot guarantee the durability of the service we have provided you. Your stylist will also recommend the best suitable care plan for you, advising also on a suitable timeframe for subsequent visits.

If these timeframes are not followed, again, we cannot guarantee that your colour will be maintained, the cost or process of further services will be as advised, or the integrity of your hair will be maintained.

The Risk

At White Ivy we specialise in major colour work, specifically colour corrections and transformations. We use a vast variety of world renowned, high quality chemicals and products to achieve the best results possible. Where chemicals are used in any setting, there is always a risk that there may be a chemical reaction or scalp sensitivity issue. We will do everything that we can to prevent such instances, sometimes even having to alter the plan and outcome on the day if the scalp or hair is not able to endure the prescribed processes. If you suffer from any scalp or hair concerns after your visit, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can assess what the problem is and recommend the best care. Likewise, if you are aware of any sensitivities or allergies, please let your Stylist know during or before your consultation.

We will not be held liable for any unforeseen scalp sensitivities, hair damage or chemical reactions unless your Stylist has failed to use due care during your appointment. By choosing to colour your hair, you have acknowledged and accepted the risks involved.

If you are not happy with your hair

At White Ivy Hair Studio, we strive to provide the best possible service to deliver optimum results.  However, if you leave the salon and find your colour, cut, products, extensions or style are not exactly what you were hoping for, we would greatly appreciate you letting us know. We would love the opportunity to make you 100% happy, so if you are dissatisfied with the service provided, please contact us within a reasonable timeframe of two weeks after the original appointment and we will work together to find a solution at little or no further charge to you. Secondary appointments in situations like this will be looked at case by case and further costs or services free of charge will be at the discretion of your stylist.

If you contact us more than two weeks after the original service date, you will be charged for any further services required at the regular price.

Refund and exchange policy

If you have purchased a product on our recommendation and find it isn’t right for you, please feel free to bring it back on your next visit and we will happily exchange it for something more suited to your hair… providing the major part has not been used of course!

We do not offer refunds on any services after they have been provided.

Your deposit may be refunded or transferred, providing a minimum of 48 hours notice has been provided.
